From the information we received he was found abandoned in a compartment of a train. As the train was leaving, the train police found him and looked around for his family, with no success. After the train arrived in Dalian, he was later brought to the Dalian City Social Welfare Institution. He was examined and found to be healthy and his umbilical cord had not yet fallen off.

He lived at the orphanage for four years and then was placed in a foster home. In this family he has a mom and a dad and an older sister, who is the daughter of the foster parents. The original information stated that was sent back to the orphanage in 2006 to start pre-school lessons. The last update we received stated he is back with his foster family and goes to school every day on the bus. His foster family are farmers. He has been told by the orphanage staff that he will be adopted soon. We sent him a care package with small gifts, a letter, and our pictures. We recently sent a letter to the orphanage to give to his foster family along with small gifts.

We are pleased that he has known what is like to be in a family, and realize most likely he will miss his foster family greatly in the beginning.
