I've Been Tagged

I've been tagged, AGAIN, by Carrie. I didn't play before but I will now.

I have to share seven odd or random facts about myself.

1. I wear size 11 shoes and I am only 5' 5 1/2". My husband is 6' 3" and we have the same size feet. We don't trade shoes though. :-)


2. I was very shy as a child and did not want to go to school for about the first couple of years. I came out of my shell more as I got older and did not fully get over my shyness until I started working for a group of doctors, after graduating high school. Now I hardly ever meet a "stranger".

3. I have a dry sense of humor and often like to kid and joke around with people. My hubby says I do this too much and some people may take me as serious when I am only kidding. I am drawn to people who are transparent and genuine, and I do not care for those who are "fake".

4. I participated in softball and volleyball in high school and loved it.

5. I don't read much, but when I do, I like to read books about heroes of the Christian faith who were able to overcome many obstacles thru God's help and their faith.

7. At the age of 11, I read a book, "The Little Woman" about the life of Gladys Aylward, a missionary to China who during the war with Japan and China, she led 100 children 100 miles on foot to safety. Many of these children were her own orphans she had been caring for. This book was by far the one book that God used at an early age to prepare me for being Timmy's mama. Even at age 11, the book made an impact on my life.

8. I have a very very southern accent. I lived most of my life in Florida, but for about 6 years lived in Tennessee. I've always been comfortable with my accent, but if I could change it I would trade it for a Scottish accent. My best friend lives in Scotland and I love the Scottish accent.
