Writing on the Wall

Photobucket

Today Timmy's teacher at church came up to my husband after church and told him Timmy wrote his name on the classroom wall with Dry Erase marker.

This was totally out of character for Timmy to do. The teacher had tried cleaning it with bleach and it wouldn't come off. My hubby thought we were going to have to paint it. So, I went over to investigate. It was rather large, about a foot long! I remembered it needed a little 'magic' to come off. Magic as in "Mr. Clean Magic Eraser". I was introduced to this when Gary, my older son, decided to write on our walls at home when he was a toddler. He loves to doodle and draw still now but it's on paper.

So, I go to the cleaning closet at church and get the magic eraser, wet it a bit, and start scrubbing. Sure enough it came right off. When we got home I noticed Timmy's church pants had light red marks all over his knees. I smelled it, and it smelled like bleach. He said he did not spray his knees with the bleach spray but somehow it got on his clothes. He had to fork over $12 to me out of his wallet as part of his punishment for a new pair of pants and I told him he had an expensive punishment because if he hadn't wrote on the wall then he wouldn't have gotten bleach on his clothes. He informed me he still had $50 left in his wallet, and it didn't seem to phase him. I then replied that he could have used the $12 for a toy. He also cannot use markers at church again until we inform the teacher he knows how to use them correctly. I think he was more upset about that than the $12.

My hubby thinks the reason Timmy "acted out" today was because his older brother had a friend over and Timmy's friend didn't come over. He gets upset when Gary has a friend over and he doesn't have one that comes over too. We do try to invite his friends but it doesn't work out on the friend's part many times. I don't know what else to do, and I know this must make him feel left out at times.

Tonight he starts guitar lessons with a friend at church, so hopefully he will enjoy this activity.

try and spend some one on one time when Gary has a friend over with Timmy if the friend doesn't come over or have him do something thaa he normal would not do during that time. I have noticed that my kids do the samething and it is very hard on them. so this is what I do with when that happens- Yeas I lost a few pounds thanks for noticing- Got back to running and I am not eating any breads and rice and pasta so it has helped. I am not sure how much weight I have lost but at least 4 pounds I would say.
